Getting Started

Fantasy Sports Zone (FSZ) is an Australian fantasy sports platform covering Cricket, Football, AFL, and Rugby League. Choose from Grouped Talent mode (unlimited players) or Head to Head mode (draft-based) to compete with friends, colleagues, or your entire club. We are the platform built for how groups actually work.
Creating an account takes under 60 seconds. Visit fantasysports.zone and click "Sign Up". Enter your email and create a password, then verify your email. You are ready to play. No credit card is required for the free tier.
Yes. The free tier gives you full access to both Grouped Talent and Head to Head modes across all four sports. Premium features are available for those wanting advanced statistics and additional functionality, but you can play for free indefinitely.
FSZ currently covers four sports.

Yes. FSZ is fully mobile-responsive. Access via your mobile browser at fantasysports.zone. Download our web app from in game. The experience is optimised for picking teams and checking scores on the go.

Game Modes

Grouped Talent is a unique fantasy format that allows unlimited participants in the same competition. Everyone selects from a shared player pool, meaning multiple people can pick the same players. This makes it perfect for large groups like offices, sports clubs, or extended friend groups.
Head to Head (H2H) is a draft-based competition for 4-10 players where each person drafts a unique squad. You compete in weekly matchups against other managers throughout the season. No salary caps and no budget constraints.
There is no limit. Grouped Talent supports 10 to 1,000+ participants. Your whole office or entire club can join. The shared player pool means there are always enough players for everyone.
H2H requires each manager to have a unique squad with no shared players. The 4-10 limit ensures there are enough players in the pool for everyone to draft a competitive team without leaving anyone with scraps.
Total Points mode is coming soon. It will offer season-long fantasy scoring for your unique squad, without weekly matchups. Your total points across the season determine your final standing.

Grouped Talent is best for large groups, offices, clubs, or casual play with any number of people. It’s very easy to manage week in, week out, and wont take much time at all.

Head to Head is best for small, competitive crews (4-10) who want the draft experience and weekly battles. You are keen to take it further & ‘manage’ your squad with run on team and player trades, without pouring over detailed spreadsheets to find your next star player.

Scoring & Rules

Players earn points based on their real-game performance. Each sport has specific scoring rules. Cricket awards points for runs and wickets. Football rewards goals and clean sheets. AFL uses goals, disposals, and tackles. NRL uses tries, tackles, and assists. No double points captain shenanigans or a small thesis of scoring options. No. Unlike other systems, FSZ's H2H mode uses pure draft mechanics without salary caps. Pick any player you want, as long as no one else in your competition has drafted them first.
FSZ remembers your run-on team between rounds, and includes auto-substitution features for players who may be a late scratching and not take the field. Your bench players can automatically slot in if a starter is unavailable, provided that position is covered. However, setting your team before lockout is always the best approach.
Teams lock at the start of the first match in each round. Specific lockout times are displayed in your competition dashboard. The trading window between rounds opens a few hours after the final game of the round.
Yes. H2H mode allows for the releasing and signing of players to your squad. Cop a long term injury or poor form, release the player and find a new superstar. Your competition commissioner can set trade limits across the full season, and week to week.

Account & Subscription

The free tier includes full access to Grouped Talent mode and H2H mode. It covers all four sports with basic statistics and leaderboards. You can play completely free indefinitely.
Premium subscription ($5/month or $50/year) includes advanced statistics, individual player history, player watch lists, private chat groups, unlimited comps and other features. It is for those chasing every edge.
Log into your account, navigate to your account settings, and select "Upgrade to Premium." Payment is processed securely via our Stripe payment gateway. Select monthly or annual subscription.
Yes. You can cancel your Premium subscription at any time. You will retain Premium access until the end of your current billing period.

Absolutely. Grouped Talent mode is designed for exactly this. Whether you have 5 employees or 500, everyone can participate in the same competition in Grouped Talent mode.

Yes. Grouped Talent is perfect for sports clubs. Create a competition and share the invite game code with your members.
Create a free FSZ account and start a new Grouped Talent competition. Choose your sport and tournament, then share the invite game code with your organisation. Everyone joins and picks their own teams before the first scheduled match.

No. FSZ is a fantasy sports platform, not a gambling or betting site. You are competing for fun, bragging rights, and any prizes your group chooses to organise. You are not placing wagers on match outcomes.
FSZ is available globally. As a fantasy sports platform (not gambling), it is legal in most jurisdictions. Check your local regulations if unsure.
FSZ is an independent fantasy platform and not officially affiliated with the NRL, AFL, ICC, Premier League, or other sports bodies. We use publicly available player and match data.

Troubleshooting

Try these steps. Check your email and password are correct. Use "Forgot Password" to reset if needed. Clear your browser cache or try a different browser. Contact support if issues persist.
In Grouped Talent mode, ensure you clicked "Save Team" before the lockout deadline. If you saved before lockout and it didn't work, contact support with your competition details.

In H2H mode, your team is saved automatically as you add players to the run-on team grid.
Scores are updated based on official match statistics. Occasionally, the stats providers make slight adjustments to player stats after matches have finished.

If something looks incorrect, wait for final score confirmation as stats may update. Check the scoring rules for that sport, and your comp specifically using the ‘Scoring’ button link in-game.
